A group that puts up photos usually stays within the limit for several years. If the storage gets too small, you can pay for more room, and the price is the same however many of you there are.

Free

This is a permanent plan, not a trial period. It does not run out, and we do not ask for a card.

500 MB of storage for photos and video together.
Video up to 3 minutes per recording, in 720p.
Photos are stored at up to 1600 pixels on the longest side.
Everything else is included: an unlimited number of members, posts, events and comments.

Paid

1500 kr a year per group, VAT included. It is the same price whether there are twelve of you or two hundred.

50 GB of storage, that is 100 times as much.
Video up to 6 minutes per recording, in 1080p.
Photos are stored at up to 2560 pixels on the longest side.

Better quality applies to what you upload from then on. We cannot make old photos sharper, because the larger files were never stored.

What happens when the storage is full

Nothing disappears. When there is little room left, the editors get a message about it. If the storage is completely full, you cannot upload any more, and everything else works as before: posts, events, replies and comments. You can delete something to make room, or pay for more.

Standalone events

An event you make without a group, such as a birthday or a volunteer day, is always free. It has storage of its own of 500 MB and is never invoiced.

Invitation by SMS

In a standalone event you can send the invitation as a text message to the people who have a phone number on the list. It costs 3 kr per send plus 1 kr per recipient, so ten recipients cost 13 kr. You pay with Vipps or by card (at least 10 kr by card), and if none of the messages goes out, you pay nothing. Nobody else ever gets a text message from kauke.

How you pay

You get an invoice from Steinholm Software, who run kauke, and pay for one year at a time. It does not renew by itself: we send a new invoice when the year is coming to an end, and if you choose not to pay it, the group goes back to the free plan with the content intact. We never delete your content because an invoice is unpaid.
