What is kauke?

‘kauke’ is a Norwegian word for shouting out. Here you can shout out messages to the people who want to hear them. A group gets its own private blog, for example kauke.no/korpsklang, where the leaders can put up photos, events and messages. Only invited people see the content. If you are the parents in a class or a housing co-op, it works the same way.

Alongside the chat

Most groups have a chat, and nobody is going to take it away from you, because quick talk belongs there. What the chat cannot do is keep anything: the message with a deadline drowns, and the photos from the trip are lost up the stream. kauke is the place for what should stay. The posts stand in order, so after a year the group has a history to leaf through, and we never delete anything for you.

Events

An event can be a trip, a concert, a volunteer day or a party, with a date, a place and sign-up. Invited people reply yes, no or maybe, and guardians can reply for their children. You can tie an event to a group, or make it entirely on its own and invite people directly, without it needing a standing group. Who can see the content?

Only people on the access list. When you log in, we check that you are on the list. Otherwise you see nothing, or a public summary.

• The leaders invite members and guardians.
• You log in with the e-mail you were invited with, with no password to remember. If you have no account, we make it when you log in.
• Do you think you should have access? Ask for it, and someone in charge looks over the request.

Privacy is a feature

We store as little as possible, only what access control needs. Someone in charge can remove a person's access or delete a photo at any time.

There is no advertising here, and the content is not used for anything other than being shown to the group. The data is stored in Europe. If you share photos of children, what has to be in place first is on the page about photos of children.

What it costs

The free plan is a permanent plan, not a trial period, and many groups never need anything else. If you need more storage, the paid plan costs 1500 kr a year per group. See the prices for what is included in each of them.

Getting started

Do you want to make a page for a group, or plan a single event? Both take a couple of minutes. Creating a group or an event makes you responsible for the details of the people you invite, so it requires confirming who you are with Vipps once. A poll about a date needs only e-mail.
